Association of Ceramic Artists Logs

The beginning of the Association of Ceramic Artists Logs (The Window) dates back to 1977 when Eduards Deltavs, the founder of the Latvian Ceramics Archive, decided to establish a ceramics studio and 10 known Latvian ceramic artists started to work in the premises of the former Kuznecov Porcelain Factory. Every year graduates of the Latvian Academy of Arts were given a chance to work in the studio for two months and some of them became active members of the Association.

All artists of the Association participate actively in exhibitions both in Latvia and abroad. Many of them have received diplomas, awards and medals in international competitions; their works are featured in museums and private collections both in Latvia and abroad.

Since 1997 the Association has arranged several international ceramic symposiums with the participation of artists from Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Spain, Ukraine, USA, Yugoslavia a.o.:
